About: Medical Aesthetician
Brooke Wilensky is our full-time Medical Aesthetician with 14 years of skin care experience. Before joining Union Square Laser Dermatology, she worked for a leading dermatology practice in Charlotte, NC, providing aesthetic procedures and assisting in medical procedures.
Brooke has extensive training and experience in medical and cosmetic treatments and a deep understanding of the various skin types and conditions. She works alongside Dr. Chapas, Dr. MacGregor and Dr. Chwalek to provide pre and post-procedure skin care treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, acne treatments and pore cleansing facials. She also specializes in corrective skin care for acne-prone skin, pigmentation abnormalities and evening out skin tone and texture, and she loves to educate her patients on how to properly care for their skin to maintain the benefits from their skin care treatments.
Brooke received a BS in Psychology and Sociology from Quinnipiac University, is a Diplomate of the Licensed Aesthetician program at the Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics, and also completed a LMT program at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. She is a licensed aesthetician in NY and NC, a licensed massage therapist, and is certified in Microdermabrasion, Chemical peels, Lymphatic Drainage and Coolsculpting.
Consultations with Brooke are complimentary (appointment deposits are refunded if the appointment is kept), and Brooke is happy to address any aesthetic questions or concerns, and you can email her directly at email@example.com.
UPDATE: Brooke Wilensky decided for personal reasons to move back to Boston this July. We are sad to lose Brooke and we will greatly miss her, but we are fortunate that Maria Barry has joined USLD as our new Medical Aesthetician, and she is working with Brooke to transition our aesthetic services after Brooke leaves town. We wish Brooke the best of luck in Beantown, and we welcome Maria on board!
Maria Barry is a Licensed Aesthetician in New York and received her training at Christine Valmy International School in NYC. Maria is also certified by the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), which has allowed her to work internationally as a skin care and facial specialist. She has worked in Europe and Asia, and lived and worked in Hong Kong as a clinical skin advisor in the medical skin care field. Maria is highly skilled in skin care treatments, is certified in chemical peels and microdermabrasion, and will customize skin care treatments combining laser and peels based on her patient’s individual needs. Maria has a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business and spent more than ten years working for J.P. Morgan in international finance–however her real passion is skin care and she is happy to practice it again in New York City where she was born and raised.
