  • Treatment of Cellulite on the buttocks and thighs.
  • Treatment of Actinic Keratosis lesions on the face and scalp.
– ENROLLING: Treatment of Cellulite on the buttocks and thighs. We are currently enrolling patients with cellulite on the buttocks and thighs. This study will use an FDA cleared radiofrequency device to temporarily help smooth the appearance of cellulite. Prospective patients should be female 18-60 years old and have visible cellulite when standing. Participation in the study will last approximately 6 months.
 
ENROLLING: Treatment of Actinic Keratosis lesions on the face and scalp. We are seeking volunteers to participate in a clinical research study treating Actinic Keratosis on the face and balding scalp with an investigational medication. Also known as solar keratosis or sun spots, Actinic Keratosis are rough, scaly growths, sometimes appearing red in color, that are caused by damage from exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

To be eligible for this study, you must:

  • Have Actinic Keratosis on your face or balding scalp

  • Be at least 18 years old and in good health

  • Be able to attend up to 11 visits at this office over approximately a 15 month period.

Volunteers will be compensated $70 per visit and all study procedures and investigational medication will be provided at no charge. For additional study information and inclusion and exclusion criteria, please click here.

About Our Research Department

Our Research Department is respected for its professional investigation in a broad range of areas, including: technical laser development, topical pharmaceutical products, photodynamic therapy, injectable fillers, and neuromodulators. In addition, we have partnered with various companies to gather consumer preference data on over-the-counter topical products, whether as standalone solutions or in connection with various dermatological procedures.

Centrally located in Union Square, our research department provides an ideal setting for recruiting patients into clinical trials. Moreover, our longstanding relationship with an independent Institutional Review Board enables expeditious reviews of experimental protocols.  Study trials are executed promptly and efficiently with the assistance of our full-time research staff which has extensive experience in protocol development, patient recruitment, photography, and computer imaging. State-of-the-art imaging systems are employed to accurately assess patients and provide optimum research data. We also employ high resolution digital photography that is standardized  to ensure study precision.
