Procedures: Body Contouring Treatments
Types: Liposonix®, Zeltiq CoolSculpting®, Thermage CPT®, truSculpt®, Velashape®.
Body contouring and shaping treatments are targeted to reduce pockets of fat resistant to diet and exercise, cellulite, and sagging skin, conditions that can result from genetic predisposition, substantial weight loss or the natural aging process. This new generation of non-invasive devices provide an alternative to plastic surgery with significantly limited downtime, risk of complications and required anesthesia; they use ultrasound, thermal, radio frequency, or infrared energy to improve the shape or appearance of abdomens, arms, legs and buttocks.
Zeltiq CoolSculpting® targets fat layers below the skin to create a slimmer figure. Velashape™ and Thermage CPT® can build collagen to create a smoother body shape. Liposonix® is an exciting body contouring treatment, using focused ultrasound to help eliminate body fat around the abdomen. truSculpt® is a recently approved device that uses radio frequency to deliver deep heating to the adipose tissue (where fat cells reside) for body sculpting, fat reduction and skin tightening
Dr. Chapas, Dr. Chwalek and Dr. MacGregor have participated in the clinical trials that led to the approval of Liposonix, Coolsculpting, Thermage and Velashape, and are internationally recognized experts in the use of the above devices. Dr. Chapas and Dr. MacGregor have been working with Cutera, the manufacturer of truSculpt, on the development of the next generation treatment protocols, including treatment of the neck.
Our comprehensive range of non-surgical body contouring devices and our expertise in administering these treatments allows us to design the best personalized non-surgical body contouring plan for each patient. Unlike many other practices, all our treatments are administered by top dermatologists fully trained in the procedures they perform, which maximizes the benefits of these procedures and minimizes the possibility of complications.
