Tatyana Petukhova, M.D. is board-certified in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She is a specialist in cutaneous oncology and procedural dermatology, including Mohs Micrographic Surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.

Her clinical focus is on skin cancer prevention and treatment, as well as performing rejuvenating cosmetic procedures. She is dedicated to treating all patients with care and compassion to develop an individualized approach of comprehensive dermatologic care. She hopes to ensure the greatest quality of clinical care, balancing surgical approaches for cure with the ultimate cosmetic outcome, while utilizing the latest evidence-based techniques.

Dr. Petukhova received her Bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Cell, and Developmental Biology at Dartmouth College. She then pursued postbaccalaureate intramural research training at the National Institutes of Health in neurobiology. After matriculating in a dual degree program at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, she received her Medical degree and a Master’s degree with special qualifications in clinical research.

Dr. Petukhova completed her internship training at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and her Dermatology residency at the University of California, Davis. During her residency, she completed numerous clinical research studies focusing on skin cancer prevention, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Following residency, she received additional fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and procedural dermatology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Prior to joining UnionDerm, she pursued an academic career for several years as an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College and the director of the Mohs Micrographic Surgery Laboratory at Weill Cornell Lower Manhattan. Her academic research projects have been published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals including Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, JAMA facial plastic surgery, and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She has also presented at numerous national and local meetings including the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting. She continues to remain on faculty as a clinical assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College instructing resident physicians and medical students on dermatologic surgical and cosmetic procedures. Dr. Petukhova is currently seeing patients at Union Square and the Hamptons.

APPOINTMENT DEPOSITS:
The deposit to hold most appointments is $200. Certain longer procedures, such as Ultherapy, require a larger deposit. If the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice you can have the deposit either remain as a credit in your account or fully refunded in your method of payment. These payments are processed securely by Stripe and we do not see or keep your credit card information.

NEW PATIENTS:
The fee for a new patient cosmetic consultation is $400, which Dr. Petukhova applies towards your treatment.
During your cosmetic consultation, Dr. Petukhova evaluates your concerns, answers your questions and devises a treatment plan to fit your goals. These are thorough consultations that can last up to 30 minutes.
