DR. MELISSA LEVOSKA

FELLOW

Melissa A. Levoska, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist completing an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS)-accredited Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at UnionDerm, following four years of clinical practice across Boston and New York City. She is completing advanced training in laser, injectable, and cosmetic procedures under the direct mentorship of UnionDerm’s nationally recognized cosmetic dermatologists. 

Before her fellowship, Dr. Levoska spent two years as Director of Cosmetics Clinic at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Director of Laser Dermatology at the Boston VA Health Care System, while serving as a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Through her role at the Boston VA, she also taught dermatology residents from Tufts University, Boston University, and Harvard Medical School. She previously held a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she received both the Teacher of the Year and Mentor of the Year awards. 

Dr. Levoska completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, majoring in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Science, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine on a Board of Governors full-tuition academic merit scholarship. Her academic excellence was further recognized by election into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and receipt of the American Medical Women’s Association’s Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation Award. During medical school, Dr. Levoska was selected for the prestigious National Institutes of Health Medical Research Scholars Program, spending a year at the National Cancer Institute studying rare photosensitive dermatoses such as hydroa vacciniforme, as well as the DNA repair mechanisms underlying xeroderma pigmentosum.

She completed her dermatology residency training at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where she directed the resident cosmetic clinic and served as Research and Scholarship as well as Cosmetics Chief Resident. During residency, she also received the Oncodermatology Research Award, as well as the KCK Compassionate and Humanistic Care Award for her devoted mentorship of medical students and junior residents. 

Dr. Levoska has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and she has been featured in various news outlets including Marie Claire, Men’s Health, and Self. 

APPOINTMENT DEPOSITS:
The deposit to hold most appointments is $200. Certain longer procedures, such as Ultherapy, require a larger deposit. If the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours notice you can have the deposit either remain as a credit in your account or fully refunded in your method of payment. These payments are processed securely by Stripe and we do not see or keep your credit card information.

NEW PATIENTS:
The fee for a new patient cosmetic consultation is $400, which Dr. Levoska applies towards your treatment. During your cosmetic consultation, Dr. Levoska evaluates your concerns, answers your questions and devises a treatment plan to fit your goals. These are thorough consultations that can last up to 30 minutes.
